Losing weight is not only changing one’s lifestyle in the short run; it is a lifetime change.
One of the most important reasons why a great number of people who succeed iosing weight fail to maintain the new one is because they go back to their old habit after a short triumph. In order to maintain the new body shape, one has to integrate the diet pattern for losing weight into their daily life, slowly adding calories back little by little, and maintaining adequate exercise.
Moreover, one’s weight that goes up and down, known as yo-yo effect, due to inappropriate calorie restriction now and then, is harder to lose next time when one makes up his/her mind, since the body becomes very wary about any reduction of calorie intake.
Losing weight is never once and for all. Our body needs time to embrace the change.
