It is a magical night whenever you are honored for doing work you love. But it is an amazing night to be honored among the international ranks of other female business leaders, who also excel at their work and hold the same level of professional passion that you do.
As the CEO of Coral Gables Executive Physicians, a concierge medical firm, I was presented for the first time with a bronze Stevie® Award, also known as the American Business Award, on Friday, Nov. 8 at The 10th Annual American Business Awards for Women in Business. My staff and I won the award in the category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Services – 10 or Less Employees – All Other Industries.
I say “My staff and I” because it is a group effort to win an award this prestigious. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2013 awards received entries from 18 nations and territories.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a sold-out event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
The excitement of this award will remain with us for a long time following the event. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this honor a lovely and wonderful reality.
