CGPG: Conquering Wonder Woman

wonderwomanI find it hard to believe that after so many years, women are still asking, “Can we have it all?” From my perspective, we answered that question in the affirmative generations ago when we donned our “power suits,” dropped the children off at school and went to the C-level suite.

It is a wonderful honor when the people you serve publicly demonstrate their appreciation for your service. Our Medical Director Dr. Robert H. Thomas received such an honor in being recognized recently as a Patients’ Choice physician.

The Patients’ Choice award is given to physicians based on their patients’ praise for the quality of care they receive. In Dr. Thomas’ case, the patients of Coral Gables Executive Physicians felt strongly enough about his care, compassion and knowledge that they provided glowing online feedback about their experiences. Each of the recognized physicians are evaluated on their bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, follow-up care, ease of appointment setting and courtesy of their office staff. Patients also share their overall opinions.

We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Thomas as part of our team as Medical Director.  A Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Miami, Dr. Thomas was previously Chief Medical Resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His experience and professional accomplishments set the bar for the level of medical expertise offered at Coral Gables Executive Physicians.

So it comes as no surprise that his patients’ reviews placed him in the top percentile required to earn the Patients’ Choice distinction. Of the nation’s 870,000 active physicians, only five percent were accorded this honor by their patients in 2013.

Congratulations, Dr. Thomas! This recognition is well-deserved.
